MSI K8N NB fan last leg?
My four month old MSI K8N Neo2 Plat. NorthBridge fan is making a whinning noise. It comes and goes. Slowing the fan down to the point were I can see the logo spinning. What should I do?

Take the fan out and oil it ... If you do it early enough, it will last for quite a while.

You can use ordinary engine oil for cars.

Dear Customer,
Please try applying WD40 grease for lubricant purpose.
Thank you for contacting MSI Tech Support!!!
IMO This does not look like good advise, WD40 is a grease based cleaner.
