Have you tried playing some 480p or 720p mkv files? That's my main concern for buying or not buying this laptop. (i'd guess that hi-res video files won't play well) Originally Posted by sfu_engineer

i'm not going to be watching any blurays. I'm just wondering if this can handle mkv files (with like, subtitles and whatnot). Otherwise, i'll just stick to avi with hard subtitles.
