MSN Messenger sending txt msg to Mobile - help!

Trying to setup my cell phone on MSN Messenger so that when I'm on the road, my SO can txt message me if needed direct to my phone (I'm on PAYGO so it costs to get a phone call but no cost to receive txt messages). I sign'd up for the mobile service but something isn't right b.c. when I go to the menu, under Tools|Options|Phone|Mobile Device there is a box which is greyed out and I can't check it off.

Looked all over the MSN help site but can't get it to work.

Can someone perhaps shed some light and help?
