MSN virus - "wow, this is you?"

anyone got hit with it? anyone know what it does and what to fix?

I didn't get it but 3 people on my msn list did.

It looked like this:

http://www.....


and goes to a website which tries to infect you.

yeah ..got 2 ppl to msg me with that..i acutally did click on first one..but luckily..it opened up in firefox and i saw the popup asking me to load something

It is an IM worm. They were more common a short while back with AIM from my experiences. You can always tell which ones they are because they will address you in a general statement and whenever you type something back it will persist that you click on a link or do what it is asking you.

I used to get this all the time in '01 from my friends, and fell for it the first time.

Mind you, than my fiancée fell for it last year on my personal PC. Ooooh.... that was not a fun conversation. "Pull the plug....now!"

haha, i got one couple month ago, but the virus didn't do anything, and didn't come up in virus scanner.
