Mug Masters ticketed for underaged waitress
did anybody go to Mug Masters at Kennedy and Denison last night? i was there and these undercover cops came by, asking everyone for I.D. it was a good thing i left for a smoke when they were checking I.D. not that i'm underaged or anything. had my I.D. with me anyway (doubt the health card would count as I.D.). there was this waitress who is 18 so i would assume that she got in some trouble for it. which is unfortunate because everytime i come down to Mug Masters and see her around, she was always very friendly and full of smiles. if she had to leave cuz of her age, that would be so unfortunate. we need more waitresses with her kind of attitude around.

yeah you can serve alchol @ 18... But if its a Bar/Grill resturant type establishment that means you gotta be 19 or over to be inside the place.

just wondering..how do they determine that? as in if the place is a bar, restaurant or whatever. Mugmaster doesnt have a smoking room and its more of a desert place

not to sure, but it some sort of designations that a establishment has to have...
The whole smoking law had alot to do with it O_o
resturant = no smoking all ages
bars = over 19 smoking.
But now there is no smoking anywhere... so it seems like everything is a "resturant"._______________

Feb 19th, 2005 06:35 PM #9Yes, you can serve alchol at 17 or 18. I'm not sure of the exact age.. but you can serve it, but you cant drink until 19.

then i can possibly assume that they really got ticketed it for having smoking customers. some people do sneak a smoke in bars.
i know one of the owners there so i'm pretty sure that it was because of an underaged waitress...

Checking ID is a common occurence at establishments that serve alchol to clientele that around the non-drinking to drinking age.
