Dec 17th, 2005 05:41 PM #5I've had this mouse for a year and I'd say it's too heavy to use comfortably for extended periods of time. Also, it sucks if you are thinking to game with it, it's darn heavy.

I also found the MX700 heavy when I first switched from a regular optical mouse, but I got used to after a few days. I did stick some teflon tape over the mouse "feet" which may have helped. I actually rather like the heaviness now.

I guess I won't be buying a wireless mouse for a few years ever since I got the 1 cent wireless keyboard and mouse deal.

i had problems with this mouse when i bought it last year. The mouse wouldn't charge after 5 months of use and the top surface of the mouse would be scratched by the charger if you dont put the mouse in the charger very gently. As others have said, this mouse is heavy, not very good for gaming. Thus i swtiched to mx510 after that.

my main problem with this mouse is it eats rechargable battery. I'm not sure why but the first few months I got like a week charge from the battery, then it got worst & worst, to eventually 1 day charge.
I put some sanyo 2300mah batteries in it & same thing happened again, first month had decent battery life then it was just downhill from there.
anyone else have this problem?

I also switched to MX510 since I found it way too heavy even when I play games like AOM or RON. Because of the weight, it also makes it hard to make small incremental moves with the cursor.

I got the mx keyboard/mouse combo awhile ago and I love the mouse. I quite like the weight of it actually. Battery still lasts awhile, just charge it overnight every few days.

mouse is heavier than regular i must admit, but you get used to it very fast (in fact now i'm finding my G5 too light
)
battery life was great, on normal everyday usage, batteries would last 2-3 weeks.... you would have NO PROBLEMS with battery life if you charged it every night in the cradle_______________

Had this mouse for 2 years. It did develop a charging problem once, but I think it had something to do with my USB drivers messing up. It's been fine since then. Original set of batteries and this thing is constantly getting put back on the charger which is supposed to be bad for it but hasn't been.
Multiple users in my house, it is on the heavy side but most people like the weighty feel and the shape is very comfortable. Only complaints come from lefties, this mouse is shaped for the right hand.
The optical system is very precise.Last edited by stevethewheel; Dec 17th, 2005 at 10:51 PM.
