My iBook didn't pass my stress test...
After having my iBook turned on and running different tasks 24 hours per day for 5 days, 3 stuck (not dead) pixels appeared. (Tried rubbing them for 2 hours, no difference.)
Do you think I'd be able to exchange for another ibook if I take it back to the store where I bought it from?Last edited by chatbox; Dec 25th, 2004 at 04:27 PM.

It's only been less than 5 days. Got it at 17:45 on the 20th.
Bought it from Computer Systems Center ( http://www.csctoronto.com/store/index.php )

I'm considering the same purchase, but before I do, I'd make sure they agree to take it back if I decide I don't want it for any reason up to 14 days. I'll be buying from London Drugs or Compusmart, so I suspect they'll honour that. I don't know about the store you mention...if they have a website, check it out for their store policy.

Is it just because i'm a genius that i came to this solution... but how about asking the store where you bought it from?

I did, this morning...they can't do anything about it.
It's now down to Apple's warranty.
(p.s. And no, it's not because you're a genius. Also, that's not a solution, but a path to a possible solution rather.)

Just in case, document everything. Fax a letter to your retailer, and ask for a written response back. You never know, and then at least your butt is covered and its not a case of "he said, she said".

This is why I never buy anything like this without first knowing the return policy.
