My Inspiron 1501's sound is messed up...
hey guys
i got the inspiron 1501 from dell when it was $499 not too long ago...
i wiped off vista and installed xp... i used the drivers from the cd which may have been geared towards vista...
now that i am at uni and using it more often, ive noticed that the sound skips sometimes... which is really annoying when i listen to things for longer periods of time... so i uninstalled those drivers and downloaded the audio drivers for xp...
but i still tend to get that... anyone have this problem before or know what is wrong?
thanks! (my friend on his HP says it happens to his laptop too...?)

also, it might be completely unrelated
but when i watch movies or files in mpeg or avi... and i skip thru to lets say the middle or anywhere else i want to seek to, the sound just stops... and then maybe once in a while ill get it back.. but if i let it run from the beginning, sound has no problem...
