My Intro - Thanks for the website
Hello RFD Members:
THANKS AGAIN for all your posts, efforts, and information. Since signing up, or rather lurking for a while, I thought it was time to give a shout out to you folks and Intro myself.
Name is Wayne, I live in Ottawa, I'm an old fart @ 50 but still feel like I'm 24...in the mind anyway. Body tells a different story,
I've always known about this site....but never really paid attention to it outside of Boxing day/week sales in the past. This year was no different...or so I thought. That Zellers Coupon was outstanding and I got a chance to get in on the deals. I didn't scoop up anything beyond the 50% off Reg Price items but did have my chance to use the original offer since the Wife and I browsed one Zellers store but felt like we didn't need anything. Well, I did get a WestBend Popcorn machine that night...but it was reg price anyway. After the modified the coupon, I went back for a Microwave, 4 Slice Toaster and a small ceramic heater. I also read where folks were getting some PM at Bed Bath and Beyond so I decided to go hit them up to try the coupon on a new Table Cloth since our Dinner table extends out to 122" and can seat 10 - 12 people. Well, needless to say we scored. An $80 table cloth was purchased for $40.00.
So thanks again to those brave enough to go out and test the PM markets, it convinced me to try the same.
Since then, I've snagged some great deals and have learned to take advantage of PM's. Latest was with BB on a Sony Starter Kit (Camcorder Bag, 4Hr Battery and HDMI Cable). The Sony store website showed this bag on sale last Friday night for $99.00, Regular price is $169.00...BB and FS are the same reg price. Noticed the item was on sale at BB last week for $20.00 off, used the Sony Store for PM and got the bag for $94.00 (10% price match guarantee). Next day I went on the Sony Store and the bag is back to $159.00. Sorry fellow RFD'ers....I didn't get a chance to post the deal.....makes me wonder if it was a Sony Screw Up since it was very Short Lived. Needless to say, I had waited over 6 months to get a good price on this item and well, patience paid off for me. Most of the waiting was because Sony no longer ships/stocks the bag and the local retailer I use tried to order it up for me direct from Sony but the Item showed up as (TBD) which usually means "No Soup For You". I'll be quicker to post something like this is the future should I stumble across another deal like this but thanks to what I've learned here in the last few weeks....I am addicted to RFD.
Now I just need to learn to "RESIST" wanting to purchase everything that comes along at a good price.
