My Moen faucet is dripping (can't find fault after disassembly)... replace parts?
I have one of these kinds of Moen faucets in the bath room, which just the cold water side is slowly dripping from the tap...
Monticello

I took it completely apart (as much as I could), and following along by DIY home repair textbook, I couldn't find any O ring or other possible leaky rubber part that I could replace. It seems to be housed in one complete unit that's all surrounded by metal
Looking at the Moen website, according to the diagram it looks like the only possible faulty piece is the "replacement cartridge". Should I just replace that and hope it works again? Or should I look for other possible places of leak? There's no leaking around the connecting hoses at all, just at the tap.

I entered in the replacement cartridge part, but it gives me a charge of $11.30 USD for the part.
How can I get it free?

email or call customer service. I emailed customer service with the Parts number, and they ship it out the next day.

You should be able to walk into HD or Rona and ask for one. Since its a free replacement cartridge, the stores usually have a handfull on hand!!!!

I just dropped by Moen in Oakville and picked up 4 cartridges the other week. Easy as 1 - 2 - 3 ... their service reps are very helpful, they even offered to put one in the mail for me.
