My sister's 9 year old dog still does it once in a while. He knows he's not supposed to, so what he's does is quickly grab it before it hits the ground and before she can stop him.!

Dogs sometimes eat poop out of boredom, for attention, to avoid punishment, or due to health issues. However, stool eating, also known as coprophagy, is actually quite normal behavior for a puppy.

You need to conduct a potty training if you want to get rid of this behavior.

Keep in mind, this is an animal, not a human. It's odd for us to defecate on the ground outside, but perfectly normal for dogs. Get my drift? The above poster said it's fairly normal for puppies to do this.

Do you have to disinfect their mouths?
Can't be healthy going around and licking objects and humans?

Neither one of my Jack Russells has ever eaten poop (they are 8 and 9 years old now). I did have a female that did this once in awhile many years ago.

Is it that good? Its expensive and reviews I've seen are mixed. I'm using NaturVet Coprophagia and its useless.
How can an ant carry twenty times its body weight, but root beer floats are still delicious?

I bought two bags less than $8. I used 1/4 of bag each time, twice a day for 5 days in a row.
