I mean I love CM and will use it once they have a JB ROM out that's working well, but to have two choices meaning the same thing is =/

cyanogenmod and AOSP arent the same
building a ROM from cyanogenmods source will give you a slew of options not available in AOSP

either way, ALL ROMs are built from AOSP

Aokp for me.. closest to vanilla but with lots of options.. I hate touchwiz and other manufacturer modifications

I'm using aokp but when I choose storage I get a forced close. I tried updating from B39 to M6 but it's still occurring. Any other roms similar to aokp? What's the best aosp rom?

Guess AOSP Is the best? I should try that one out!

AOSP with Slim ICS was the best. I'm currently on CM10 for the sake of Jelly Bean on my Captivate though. Once Slim Bean is out I'd probably return to it.

M6 is functioning perfectly on my Nexus S... also using Air Kernel...

M6 is functioning perfectly on my Nexus S... also using Air Kernel...

How can I start fresh? Factory reset in CWM then install M6 again?

if you mess with your phone a lot use 4ext recovery if its available for your phone

i've tried three and like CM9 the best so far... it's the most vanilla and best battery life so far. and the automated installer was cool.

2. aokp milestone 6
3. sky ics 4.2f r7 (for galaxy s2 lte)


i also used the stock rogers samsung gingerbread and ice cream sandwich firmwares from sammoblie. they were ok but i couldn't handle touchwiz. it sucked really bad.

Complete wipe
Install m6
Install gapps
Install kernel
Restart

Works for me every time... results in a stable phone
