What a waste of effort for all those involved. Trump has ruined the US reputation here in Canada (and around the world for that matter), and this will have much longer-lasting repercussions than these renegotiations.

Yes and now we get to import $150, up from $20, into Canada tax-free - whoop-de-doo. It's $800 when you go to the USA.

Not correct. You can import $40 sales tax free, $150 duty free - but these limits don't apply to shipments via Canada Post.

Thanks for sharing, but it doesn't explain why Canada Post is excluded. I don't understand how they can cherry pick like that...

I don't understand it either, but it is Toronto Star so it's probably correct

He sure did. As the US economy grows at almost 4%, they just got the lowest unemployment rate in almost 50 (fifty) years, stock markets are hitting records, consumer confidence is at highest level, they added (average) 200,000 jobs monthly this year (up from 134,000 last year), their reputation in Canada is in tatters.

Meanwhile here in Canada... oh, well. Suffice to say that Trudeau/Freeland LOST everything they demanded and then some:
Gender equality, indigenous rights, environment/global warming ("climate change" wasn't mentioned a SINGLE TIME in a 15,000 word environment chapter).
Tariffs on steel and aluminum still in place, greater US dairy access to our markets, cap on automotive exports, etc.

And most important - they gave away our sovereignty. Chapter 32 requires a 90 days notice before Canada can even start talking about a free trade agreement with a "non market" country.

The entire world is laughing at us, yet you (and others) are concerned about Trump....
