I have the RB model, I just set it up on Tuesday. I chose not to go with the infrared section because it's used for searing and takes away from the overall grill space if you aren't searing a particular meal.

It was easy to assemble (except the caps that hold the larger wheels in place, they were a pain in the butt). Also, the stainless steel sections come coated in a protective material that is time consuming to remove.

So far I've used it for three meals and have no real complaints, it heats up quickly, the stainless grills clean surprisingly well, and it looks pretty sexy (but I'm totally biased). ;)

I have this exact BBQ, it's the best BBQ I have ever owned, 2 years now and problem free.

Go for it!

I've got the RB model. Works fine.. it isn't a big BBQ but has plenty of room to do a meal for the family which is one thing I like about it. No real complaints from me either.. good build quality and simply does what it is built to do.

I'm not a big fan of Napoleon, no knocks against their products or quality just that they are overpriced.

We have an Ultra Chef model - down from what you are looking at. It's great - was pretty easy to setup and has been working great for us.

I was set on a Weber BBQ from BBQs Galore until they talked me into the Napoleon...and am quite happy with it.

Generally, people would rank them as 1 and 1a.

I think you meant Napolean is ranked as #1 or #1a. I don't know, people, might read it as "weber" is ranked as #1 or somethin...

Anyway, i bought the prestige II two years ago. I left it out in the patio throughout the winter (with the cover on.. since the nice black cover comes with it anyway). Every year around spring time, it have never failed on the first start of the season. And did i mention it was hovering the 3 degrees Celsius outside when we rushed out to have bbq, thanks to the superior sealing of the cover. Mind you, the cover might be a little heavy for some people.

The other thing i like is the design of the stuff beneath the grill (which is curvey, and my wife found the grill lines on the steak cute <- one of the selling point for her) - first there is those V shape metal thingy that are on top of the burners that reduce the flare up from the dripping. And there is this easy to slide out tray, which collects all the black carbons. So the clean up was a breeze.

I would consider their bbq to be one of the high-end kinds where the fine details and build really shine. Just be careful when assembling one of these yourself - the laser cut stainless steel parts are razor sharp. I wasn't exaggerating on the razor sharp part.

Enjoy it if you wind up getting one, it's worth the money.

We have the Napoleon Mirage BIM730RBI & we love it, especially the infrared :D
Recently we tried grilling some steaks without it & oh my god, what a difference the infrared makes :-0
Hopefully this year we can build a proper island for it, including a new deck.
