Good advice - but how would the manufacturer know you used it in a NAS?

To them they may not want to spend the time to investigate one off's but if you have a history of constant returns they might dig it into it further and do more CSI work and I'm sure they have ways of identifying on how the device was used.

I can confirm the 10tb Seagate expansion contains a 10TB BarraCuda Pro drive Model ST10000DM0004 i just bought it from best-buy and shucked it
