Nasty Quicktime trailer? Crashes Firefox
If you have firefox 1.07, could you go to this site and run the trailer?

Same here. Qucktime Alternative and it ran fine. It might be time to ditch the bloated QT, and Real Time while you are at it.

I'm talking about testing with the real, uptodate quicktime. Anyone try that? I'm trying to establish if it could have anything to do with the new power supply I put in today. Its the only trailer that's doing it, however...about mid way through it.

Working fine.
Looks like a family flick. Always a family flick with Tim Allen

Most video files cause my FF to stop responding for about a minute. It's the same thing even if it's Realmedia, Windows media, or Quicktime.

Well, none of the other trailers are doing it. Its really odd. It runs the trailer for about a minute then suddenly, there is no trailer and no firefox. They're just gone. I did install a new PS this morning, but I wouldn't think a ps would cause FS to vanish.

How did it crash? A "Plug-in not installed" message and then it hangs? It happens to me sometimes if I go to the site that has embedded video (mostly Win Media PLayer though) and NoScript kills FF *sometimes* before I get a chance to enable Java for that site. It might be your NoScript extension, if you have it?

Okay, I just tried it on another computer and exactly the same thing happened. My guess is that not one of you have actually tried running the trailer with a recent version of QT.
