Hi,

Just got a renewal for NGM for 16$.

I googled on the web and found the following link. It's written for new orders only, but I phoned and the CSR told me that it was ok.

And by being subscribed to the paper version, you get the iPad version for free. That's pretty cool!

Hmmm... if you click into that link you will see that it says Canadian subscription is $20 CAD. The $15 USD is for US subscription. Also This $15 USD / $20 CAD subscription deal has been here forever. I've been using that for many many years already. You don't have to remember this special URL or bookmark it, you don't even need to Google it. You simply go to National Geographic's home page http://www.nationalgeographic.com/ and scroll down and click on the Subscribe button on the National Geographic magazine and it will take you to that exact link. This is the standard subscription offer for new account for National Geographic magazine. And yes it works just fine for renew as long as you type your name/address exactly the same. (that's what the CSR people told me many years ago.) And with my track record, I expect it to work for the next 10 years.

could get the us version gifted to a US friend and just read the iPad version
