Why are the Suns firing their coach? I thought they were tanking this season.
yea, tanking, but not losing by 30-40 points on a daily basis.. they gotta 'lose' competitively or the fanbase would all just leave.
haha

is this the quickest firing for a coach ever?

Phoenix starts the season 0-3:

Eric Blesdoe tweets "I don't want to be here" and his head coach gets fired 1 hour later.
It appears Canada's National Team and former Raptors' head coach Jay Triano will get the interim head coaching job.

.
Bledsoe is getting traded for sure. Wonder where, he'd be a nice fit to a team like Memphis.

Tim and Sid happened to answer that question today, and the answer is no. One coach got canned after one game...yes, ONE! Lol. But this was back in the 70's.

This is likely the quickest in the modern era.

Please tell me you guys saw that amazing OKC vs TWolves Game. That last 30 seconds or so is one emotional roller coaster that will give Toronto a collective heart attack if the Raptors experienced what OKC just did.

Amazing game.
I just watched one of those 10-minute Youtube clips of that game this morning. Even watching that condensed recap was a rollercoaster!

I wish there was 10-minute clips of every game. It literally covers every single basket I think...and any one-off drama.

This guy is playing out of his mind right now.

37-13-3
34-8-8
44-8-4
32-14-6

58/88 FG’s (65.9%)
3-1 record

I missed it but based on the highlights you are right. The Wolves are no joke this season, I really like the addition of Taj Gibson to that team.

I'm surprised it's not higher. He's literally only made 4 or 5 shots from outside of 9ft. He's been able to just get to the rim at will.

If teams can keep him to 8-10ft or further, his FG% is horrendous at under 40%. Not sure why teams aren't just sitting back and letting him shoot...and just closing out.

In 2017, even long-term NBA coaches are getting soft and easily offended.

Rick Carlisle stormed off the court in disgust after the self-alley oop rookie Jordan Bell threw off the backboard to himself in a blowout game against his team.
I didn't think that was legal in-game unless the ball touches the rim?

A pass to yourself off the backboard is a legal pass. Although it is scored as a shot made only. Not a missed shot, rebound and basket, and no assist since it is a pass to the same player.

Tracy McGrady pulled it off against the Raptors in-game. Vince Carter has done a few of them in his career as well.

Ya, I also thought it was supposed to be a walking call unless the player is in the air when they throw the ball to the basket AND when they catch it for the dunk. Bell looks like he's still on the ground when he's throwing the ball.

The Nets are abusing the Cavs right now. Without Lin and Russell the Nets are scrappy, long and keep shooting 3's, this team is no cakewalk anymore, they're making the Cavs look mortal.

in the NBA it's allowed, IIRC, in FIBA, throwing it off opponent's backboard counts as a dribble, so in this case, it's a travel for FIBA
