[NCIX] 500gb ssd crucial mx200 $239.99 - fs

PCpartspicker says this is the lowest price since its release
free shipping with SOLTIB coupon

The 250 GB MX200 is also on for $129.99

Limit of 3
They also have the BX100 on sale, same terms
500GB = $219.99
250GB = $119.99

Checked Stooples for stock for a PM and $20 off Visa checkout, but beings Stooples both 500 GB are OOS. There was stock on both 250 GB at time of edit.

Called Staples for a price match for the 250GB model and got refused because it says 'limited quantities" on the NCIX website.

... and here I was getting ready to use that VISA Checkout promotion...

EDIT- Also, NCIX shows $129 for the 250GB model right now.

BX100 is the budget model. MX200 would be my choice.

MX200, but probably not by much (for 250gb+ models).

At the larger 500GB+ capacities, performance is really close. 250GB and under the MX200 has the advantage of write acceleration.

"The BX100 carries an amazing price and solid performance for those looking for an entry level drive and the MX200 adds on a greater feature set a bit more performance and a price tag that can’t be ignored."

I'm no expert but from what I've read the BX100 seems to be comparable to the MX200 performance-wise. The latter has some extra features you might or might not be interested in though. Check out this comparison review:

If the features aren't worth an extra $35 to you, maybe you should go with the cheaper one :)

That's a great deal. You should create a separate thread for that deal if there isn't one already.

At the 500GB size it is a $20 difference. Good review link Frugalmeister, thanks.
For me features like encryption and Acronis 2014 HD were swaying the decision towards the MX200, the I read the part on TBW endurance. It jumps from 72 TB on the BX100 to 160 TB on the MX200, more than double. That finalized the decision for me.
