i've been using this router with ddwrt for the last 3 years. no problems. never had to reset it once. heating is an issue, so i place it on some blocks to allow air to go underneath it. having said that, it has never had an issue despite getting warm to touch.

Bought a refurbed one 3 years ago, followed the instructions on this page:

No heating issues, never had to reset since. Great modem for those willing to mod a bit.

Use this as a backbone for our network, can't comment on the wireless but using tomato on this thing is great
Track just about everything and the QoS is superb.
