Okay, my first deal post, so please be gentle with me.
I'm not sure how hot a deal is, and so I'm asking your advice.

Free ground shipping as well.
Is this a hot or warm (or cold) deal.
I'm looking for a good laptop with high resolution, will be doing some gaming, SWTOR, maybe others (what kind of gaming can this laptop handle?)
I'd likely bump it up to 16 GB and put in a 7200 RPM drive.
I don't want a SSD yet, just trying to see if this is a good deal, or if better will be coming with Black Friday.
Not sure about Windows 8 yet, is there a way to downgrade? (I should be able to just install a legit copy of Windows 7 on it, correct?)
Not in a big rush, but if is a good deal, I may jump on it.
Other suggestions would be great, appreciate all your help.
Edit: Just saw PM option from ME, and for sure I'd pick it up from them, ME rocks, and I wouldn't have to wait for shipping.

I would call it quite lacking personally.
In the $1000.00 range you can make away with GTX670, 7200rpm drives
There is in fact laptops on NCIX that meet this price with these specs.

Thank you Q, appreciate the help.
What do you think of this one then? It's a little bigger, but really, that translates into better heat dissiptation, right?

Apologies if it's in the wrong spot in your opinion, but it is $30 off, and I've seen lots of other deals that are less hot or comparable to this in hot deals. This section also tends to get more views than the computer section.
I appreciate your helpful response though.
