I believe 1200mhz is a typo. The specs list 1000mhz clock speed.

Edit: The 1200mhz is the actual gddr5 clock speed. From sapphire's site: The Sapphire HD 7870 GHz Edition is equipped with 2GB of the latest GDDR5 memory clocked at 1200MHz (4.8Gb/s effective)

okay this might sound stupid but on the ncix sale page we see that the cooler is dual x model while here (http://www.anandtech.com/print/5767) it says that sapphire uses a smaller version of the dual x model cooler, does it make a difference? maybe this batch is different from the one with the trouble?
here is the exact quote from anandtech:

"Breaking down the card, Sapphire’s cooler of choice is a slightly smaller version of their Dual-X cooler. The Dual-X is your typical double-wide dual-fan open air cooler, with 2 fans providing copious airflow over an aluminum heatsink running virtually the entire length of the card. As with the larger Dual-X cooler we saw on their 7950, the Dual-X on the 7870 is slightly oversized, allowing for slightly larger fans. In exchange the Dual-X on the 7870 is about 10mm taller than the PCB, and 0.5” longer than the 7870 PCB, pushing the card out to 10” long."
the pictures on ncix show that it has the dual x version cooler while most cards i see has the sapphire logo on their coolers.

Sad thing is - i already have a Sapphire Radeon 6950 (unlocked to 6970) that gives me occasional flicker issues...should've stayed away from Sapphire...

Apparently this model is not affected by the issue.

http://www.sapphireforum.com/showthread ... -bit/page2

11199-03-XX model is affected whereas this model is 11199-16-20G?

Someone correct me I'm wrong
