Depends...
Is it on the Certified Series extended warranty?
What options does it have?

The Price and Km can't tell at all.
like chicadam said it depences if it is certified as well as what options
Other issues to consider
1) Auto or Stick (auto is ususally more expensive)
2) Packages or base model (Premium packages will cost more)
from Autotrader.ca 320I price range can be from (GTA)
Low 24.8k Middle 27.9K High 30.9k

It really doesn't stop at $27K... you'll have to add 15% tax and Licensing costs.
But if it was me... the most I'll drop on this car is $24K which will probably end up being $28K after everything.
Its a nice car to drive and has good mileage but its a base model and the new e90s are on the road.

Check the black book, it is a Toyota Canada link but it is real usefull to start with:
http://www.toyota.ca/NWS/english/con...n_vehicle.html
BMW Canada has a page where ou can search its' dealer network for exactly your type of BMW and you can get an idea what dealers are asking.
I own a BMW and personally, 27K is way too much for a 2003, very basic 3 series, with that much milage.

Seriously if you don't have the money for a "real" bimmer (330i) then don't buy one. For that money you can get an accord or something that's more bang for the buck, more reliable, more power.
Of course don't twist my word as me saying accord is better than a bimmer, I'm saying don't buy a low class bimmer, it's not that good. If you want a bimmer at least buy a 330i or something close. I'm not sure about the 2003 model year, I think 320i is pretty much the lowest class right? Just my 2 cents.

Mar 5th, 2006 05:12 PM #10One of the reasons BMW is a great car is that it has technology and performance to offer in many price ranges. One of the reasons BMW is a great car and has a reputation of being kind of snotty is because of comments like those from chickenbones. A 330 is a nice car, as are almost all others in the BMW line-up, in price ranges for all folks, not just the ones that think they are better.

- If bang for your buck is what you are looking for than Hondas and Toyotas are for you...

I didn't say Hondas are better, I said it's a waste of money to buy a base bimmer, 'cus it's not even near "luxurious" The whole point of getting a bimmer and paying the extra money is for the luxury.

If you want to drive class, in that price range a one - two year old TSX will do. Its reliable, much more features and just as quick if not quicker then that 320i (it may not have the torque but top end power is there).
Seriously, older BMW 3 series is smaller then a fakin civic! I could fit in a civic, in the bmw 3 series (not sure which model I was sitting in) but my legs were cramped up soo badly, im 6'2 btw)
My vote goes for TSX.

Mar 6th, 2006 05:38 PM #14You are right, BMW does not make a V6, never has. It is a straight 6. If you want to compare cars, go to http://www.nctd.com/index.cfm, go to the comparison page and compare vehicles. They go back as far as 1994 vehicles (not every car) and a fair spec comparison can be made.

Mar 6th, 2006 06:20 PM #15Thats right it is a inline 6. Not sure what the differences are between V6 and L6 other than then fact the L6 takes up more space.
