hey guys
i need some help/comments here
i ordered a 2209wa from dell last week, and it's supposed to be here today.
i duno how purolator screwed up..but they couldn't locate my address...
the tracking status showed up as "Scheduled Delivery Appointment Required"
so i called them around 1145am today..they me told the box is sent back to guelph and asked me if i can picked up..i'm like...Obviously NOT...i'm in waterloo...so i requested for a redelivery....
then i just got a call from purolator that they will deliver it to the closest purolator office (572 king street) instead
so the PROBLEM is the address on my ID is diff. from the shipping address
but the representative instructed me to get an invoice from DELL to get authorization to pick it up...
so i sent an email to dell and ask them wt do to...
but i dun want to wait for dell's reply...
Question:
Can i just print out the order details from my DELL account and show it to them??
(P.S. the billing address matches my address on the my ID)
Anyone with Exp. pls advise!!!

Yeah seriously, picking up the phone is way faster than anyone giving you an answer to you that will be correct. Just pick up the phone and ask. Unless you have telephobia, then their is no reason to just not call them and figure this out.

I'm making a new rule that I plan on living by. I will refuse to help people who spell like a 12 year old with downs syndrome (dun, wat, wit, etc). I absolutely cannot stand reading crap like that. So from now on not only will I refuse to help, I'm going to tell the person I'm refusing to help and why.
This internet lingo (and it's not even internet lingo, it's more like ****** lingo) is turning the younger generation into a bunch of illiterate monkeys. People are writing this way when not on the internet too._______________

I have recent experience with that Purolator office in picking up a small package with value under $10:
1. Good luck finding the location. Hint: It's between Conestoga Mall and the mall at King and Northfield*where the Future Shop is located. The best directions I can give you is to pull into a driveway between those two and drive around looking. Be careful because it's easy to get dinged by some other bozo who's having an equally difficult time finding their store.
2. They will ask for ID and they will compare it to the shipping label. I'd suggest you print off the Dell order that shows both addresses and hope that's good enough.
I agree that asking someone in K-W to drive to Guelph to pick up a package is an insult. I'd send a letter to Dell HQ (Gordon Baker in North York) telling them that this is unacceptable, (if for no other reason that K-W is several times the size of Guelph so let the Guelphers drive to K-W to pick up their stuff
)

The Dell invoice should be sent to your shipping address (same as package) so you can definitely use that. But it usually arrive quite a bit later so you have to wait.
All you really need is a piece of mail (from bank, place of work, utilties, school, etc) that has your name along with the address together to indicate that you live at that address. Should be all you need for pick up. Bring a photo ID also so they can verify you are the same person to be safe.
Printing off the order might also work, but I think pickup places prefer actual mail labels. Bring them all just in case._______________
You read it. You can't unread it.
