need a broker for importing good??

I imported some stuff from states and the ups asked me if i had broker and i told them i didnt have one.. And they did the work and charged me around $30 and they also charged me lots of tax!! The goods was imported under my business name..

B) UPS Standard, Express, or Expedited?

Business and eBay are considered the same by canada customs and ups.

Who asked GST number - UPS or the company?

Does your invoice look like:

COMPANY

SHIP TO: A CANADIAN BUSINESS

SUB-TOTAL $100
GST $7
TOTAL $107

or

SUB-TOTAL $100
TOTAL $100

If the first one, call UPS and complain that on the Commercial Pro-Forma Invoice, it stated that you had already paid applicable taxes and request a refund of all funds paid to UPS otherwise you will comlaint o Silverman Helps.

The UPS asked me for the GST number.. and they charged me Broker fee plus lots of tax. And yes i do have an invoice from the company..
My invoice dont show GST or tax.. cuz i got the goods from States so there is no tax

Gst : 8.92
Broker Fee: 48.40
