Need a cheap qwerty phone

I want to buy a cheap qwerty phone because all I do is email. Does anyone know a good phone with a qwerty keyboard (English predictive) that will work in Japan and Australia? (specifically 3G).

I was looking at the Samsung F700. It's cheap, but I don't know if it will work in Japan on Softbank 3G networks, and if possible I wanted the phone to have JPN character ability (predictive) and symbols on the keyboard..

Also WIFI is important.

Any tips for other phones that are cheaper and better would be GREATLY appreciated!

Have you looked at gsmarena or phonescoop? They have a pretty good way of filtering for phones that you want based on features.
