need help with samsung SH-203B
hi
this problem has been goin on after i moved and i cant figure out whats wrong... it was working perfectly before moving but after i moved and got my computer hooked up, i wanted to burn a dvd but all i got was my drive trying to read the media and the indicator led just keeps flashing green as in reading but not identifying the media?.. ive tried several other including blank cd/dvd and store pressed cds/dvds to see if my drive can read it.. but alas the same thing happens.. the drive spins and the media inserted isnt detected... my BIOS and hardware manager identifies the drive and it has SB04 firmware...
any clues in how to fix this without possibly reformatting my pc?

Last firmware for this model on Samsung's website seems to be SB03.. I don't know where did you get SB04 firmware.
http://www.samsung.com/ca/support/do...ia_cd=05050500
What I'd do if I were you:
1. check if there are any "!" in Device Manager. If there are, you must dig a little bit to see where the problem comes from.
2. install SB03 firmware for this unit
3. contact Samsung tech support if the problem is still not solved
good luck!
