I am about to embark on a quest to update my gadgets to the next level. My problem is finding just the right cell phone/pda, game machine, and media player and could use a little advice. The two gadgets I have chosen so far are :
the MDA Universal
and the Sony PSP
The problem device is:
The Zen Vision
Reviews for the new Zen Vision say it can't play back video nativly at 640x480 (which is what I'm looking for). My goals are :
All devices are black and are 640x480
Need PDA, phone, 20+gb audio and video and lastly PSP
Some of the devices can trade data somehow if need be (different memory card on each of these devices)
The less devices the better.
So, is there any tech savy person that can help steer me in the right direction?? Can I somehow hack a PSP to add some sort of large storage device I can carry with it? Or maybe is there some other media player out there that will suit my needs that I don't know about?

PSP is hackable. PSP
Rumour has it that the PSP will have a webcam and email capabilities in future. Maybe the email will be firmware upgradeable.

Aug 12th, 2005 08:41 PM #3Thanks for the link. Unfortunatly there wasn't a hack to add some sort of mass storage to the device. Duo Memory Stick Pro is 2 or 4gb, but I'm looking for a 20+gb device if I can find it.

Aug 12th, 2005 09:51 PM #10I did check out the iriver lines, but their displays aren't 640x480. It did say it could play it, but it just wouldn't look as good
