Need MCE 2K5 help - outputting DD5.1 from MKV Files
So I have an XP MCE (with SP2) in our main living room, and have a few MKV files with Dolby Digital tracks that I play on the main TV that is streamed from another computer.
A side note: when I stream DVDs from one computer to the main TV, MCE outputs the dolby digital track as my receiver has a blue light that indicates this, and plays the correct sound through 5.1 speakers.
Now to the issue: when I stream the MKV files, MCE outputs the sound signal PCM format to the receiver, and I can simulate dolby using pro logic but would like to get the Dolby Digital track to the receiver.
Does anyone know or can point me in the right direction on how to setup MCE or any required codecs to make MCE output the dolby digital track when played through mce?
(this is not vista mce, just regular mce 2005)
Cheers

I thought there was a setting in Media Centre to enable digital audio out?

Fixed it! Download AC3 filter and you can force SPDIF output.. and yes there is a setting in MCE as well (general output setting).
Using AC3Filter will always force whatever media player to use spdif .
