Need New greenbins and recycle bins (any deals)
Hi,
I got home on Tuesday after school, and usually the bins are outside. Well this time they weren't. Some poor idiots stole my old/very dirty green bin and 2 recycle bins. Should I report it? I had my address on the recycle bins, but not the green bin (just recently got it back because the garbage men broke the original one).
Its gonna be two weeks before I can find out who stole them, and I got an exam so I can't go look around.
Its gonna be hard to find them cuz my area is full of brown people and I am the only asian around. My snow shovel was stolen a few years back as well. I left it there for 10 mins with tonnes of people outside and no one saw a thing. Also, my house is the only house that doesn't receive a Scarborough Mirror. I have a feeling my hate is building towards certain people and I have been the recipient of possible of racism. When I find them, there gonna get an ear full.
Where can I get replacements or should I wait for the new large bins and buy another green bin.

Hehe, if you call the mirror and ask why the hell you havn't been getting your paper, they'll give the paper boy an earful. Tell them you like to look at the flyers and get deals on stuff, but you havn't been getting any at all!
They make most of their money on advertising, so if they lose readers - especially if it's because the punk delivery boy is singling you out - they'll be sufficiently pissed.
Just make sure the paper boy doesn't come back and get his revenge on your place!

thanks for the tip. I have sent an email and will give a call tomorrow morning since i don't have class until two. i will probably take my bike for a ride around on Friday to see if the idiots that stole my bins were dumb enough to leave them outside. All I got to do is look for the ones with my address on them and/or the ones with huge marker slashes on the sides and I'm taking them back.

I'm white and have had things stolen from me. I don't think its a race issue. You get what you give, including racism and respect.
Back on topic, are these city issued bins? If you're just looking for plastic recycling bins, I found Home Depot has the cheapest prices on them. Around $3.25 for a medium bin, seems to be the cheapest price around for good size and quality. Dollar stores didn't seem to have the right sizes, even ikea was surprisingly expensive for plastic bins.

yeah they are city issued. i've cooled down a bit but the green bin was integral for reducing trash.
I will probably get another one, as I don't really have a choice. I sent out an email and was told that the new bins (for cans, papers etc) are being released next week for Scarborough so those can wait.
Thanks
