Need someone with a metal cutter to help me cut some metal.
Im located in Scarborough (near Warden/Finch) and I have one of these Thermalright backplates and I need someone to help me cut off the metal part as shown in this picture:

I just bought one last week at Home Depot. They have some for $10-$20. Some are not sealed so you can actually bring it to the store and cut it there yourself for free. From your picture it looks like it should work, since it's a small cut and doesn't require twisting or anything that would require the cutter to be removed from backing.
I bought mine so I could mod my MEGA PC 651 hdd bracket.

A drill on those rivets would work better....

I've got a dremel if you need a hand... that cut will take all of 10 seconds

If it's riveted on the best way is to drill. Nice and clean with little chance of damaging the board. Just use a bit slightly larger than the rivet and drill out just the head part and the other side falls out.

its not riveted
it is just a back plate that you can take off the mobo
it is for the heatsink
i need mine done too
im gonna get some better cutting disc for my dremel
too bad u dont live in vancouver otherwise we couldve got ours done together
