Finally have it wired up. It shows AC voltage of 18.4v and battery voltage of 4.1v. That sounds like healthy levels?

It acted a little funny at first (randomly rebooted once, took close to 5 minutes to start showing video), but it seems to be functioning now.

Only thing I noticed is that the image seems-overly dark on my porch, even when it's super bright out. Is there anything I can do to adjust this?

Maybe it was updating itself?

How did you return the google mini if it was free?
On e receipt there is a value associated with the mini (~$50)

I ordered this item and I never got my Google Mini back on June 29th. I called to complain and the rep said that deal never existed. How can I prove this? To make matters worse.. Nest will charge me shipping to return this... any suggestions? My bill came to $259.00 + tax as it only shows $40 savings.. I really wanted the deal with the Google Mini.

Call back and talk to someone else or Ask someone on here via PM to scan/email you their receipt and then call them back and say you have proof of the deal. Didn't your email order show the deal?

Lots of negative reviews out there regarding slow notification and long cooldown times. Have these issues been resolved?

Notifications were slow for me for the first day after I installed. Now they’re pretty quick and I get them within 2 or 3 seconds. Case and point, I drive into my driveway and get a notification motion is detected right as I park the car and get out. I’ve only had mine installed for 2 weeks so far. I get most of my notifications on my Apple Watch, it’s odd but I do notice I get them on there quicker than my phone. I get the vibration/pulse on my watch so I feel that instead of hear the notification sound on my phone.

Not sure what the cool down issue is can you elaborate?

Apparently the motion alert can't re-trigger for 30 minutes after it's triggered. So if someone brings a package you get a motion notice, but if someone comes to steal it within 30 minutes you won't get another notice.

It will still record regardless... assuming you subscribed.

basically from bestbuy, when you buy online for delivery a bundled deal will be invoiced with each item per line along with the associated cost for that item.
had you bought in store the invoice would show bundle deal: Nest + Google = $260, and no separation of cost of each item.

in this case, Nest camera is $300 regular price, Google mini is $80 regular price; total equals $380; but sale price is $260; therefore difference is $120, which is 31.58% off;
So invoice will look like this:
ITEM1 - NEST Camera - $205.25 ($300 minus 31.58% off the reg price)
ITEM2 - Google mini - $54.74 ($80 minus 31.58% off the reg price)
TOTAL - $260

This logic applies to almost all bestbuy bundles.

Not necessarily. Unless your existing door bell already has a camera.

My existing doorbell/low voltage wire is in the side door casing which is 90 degree to the front. If I installed a camera there it would miss the whole right side. I could put a block of wood there but it would look terrible.

How are you planning to finish this with? Change the wood panel completely? How about the holes between the brick and the panel?
