[Tiger Direct] Netgear WNR2000 (refurb) 300Mbps router - Tigerdirect $29.97

http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/ ... -N100-2219

This seems like a good deal given the feature set on this router. It has guest networking, which is nice to see. This is Fast Ethernet only, no Gigabit here. There are 3 revisions of this router, so it's likely a crapshoot which one you'll receive.

Shipping was about $8 to Alberta for me. Probably hotter if you can pick it up in the store and returns will be easier/cheaper if it doesn't work properly.

Here's some specs from the Netgear site:

I picked one up as soon as it went on sale at Tiger Direct. I normally don't buy from them as the shipping is usually horrendous. However this time the shipping only came to $10, a reasonable cost. I've bought this router to replace my aging DLINK DI-524 which is a bit long in the tooth now.

Can anyone suggest a half decent wireless N USB adapter?

thx!

I bought this refurb a couple of months ago and its been good although I do have a problem. Previously I was using a DLink. With this netgear it seems to not want to connect to my PS3. I get it to connect and then when I turn off the PS3 and turn it on again it doesn't connect. Not sure what it is, I have tried changing the speed down to a 54 mbs nothing different. Even locked the channel and still same issue. Not a big deal cause I connected with a ethernet cable.

Not sure if anyone has had the same issue

Pulled the trigger. I have a lot of wireless devices in my home and have a 2 year old g router that requires reboot every 24 hours. Hopefully this one will perform better.

Thanks.

If it is ddwrt compatible I will jump, but I don't see in TigerDirect page that it is v2.
