Networked media players
This seems to be a fairly new technology. Ive gotten tired of burning discs to watch on TV. This is mainly for podcasts and other media...
Has anyone had any experience with these boxes? I'm looking for a play-it-all device(thats not a gaming console or AppleTV).
Does HD content stream well over the air, quality-wise and time-wise? Or even something I can run off a USB flash drive.

If you want to 'play-it-all', I think a HTPC might serve you better ...

HTPC (Home Theatre PC) is a dedicated PC mainly for video playback (along with all other ordinary PC tasks). Technically speaking, it can play all formats. If you install a TV tuner, it can record TV shows too. Its video outputs to your TV and audio outputs thru your HT receiver. Of course, if it's connected to your network, it plays video thru the network too.
So, it does whatever a 'networked media player' can do ... plus more ....
