Networking Access Problem
I've been trying to get my file sharing to work between my PC and laptop. Everytime I try to access one from the other, it says it is not accessible because I do not have permission to the network source. It is both ways (from PC accessing laptop, and laptop accessing PC). Can anyone tell me how I can "get" access permission?

Check the Share permission as well as NTFS permission. Both must be set to allow or it wont work

Disable any firewalls, Norton and ZOne Alarm are famous for producing this type of error.
- Enable file sharing
- run the "create a home network" wizard.

Done all that. The first time I created the network, I was able to do transfers both ways (mainly dumping work files to laptop, and tons of pictures), but the last few times I tried it (even after disabling firewall/norton etc etc) it still gives me that error

Where do I check that?

You may have to disable "Simple File Sharing", this is done in Folder Options -> View -> "Use Simple File Sharing". Then you give "Everyone" group the access you want (recommend you don't give full).
