Created my account today and linked to CTFS and CIBC. Noticed that both banks come out as their French names.. why
Will also link PCF once I get my cheques

Is it just me or does all this extra security seem a bit excessive? Answer 3 questions, add in a phrase and a picture. And yet signing up was so easy. My brick and mortar online banking isn't this secure
Also, I see that you can setup transfers between external accounts. Savings is one of the options, so does that mean I can "link" my ctfs account with ally and transfer between the two? Since ctfs has no cheques, I guess I'd have to phone them to find out the transit number?

From another post, here's how you find your CTFS account information:

To get the CTFS account info, you can log into CTFS, then click 'manage my info' then 'direct deposit request'. Fill in some fake company information and select the account you want. When you click continue, you will be taken to the confirmation page, which shows you the institution, transit, and your complete account number.

Did a pull transaction from CFTS to Ally, and Ally doesn't seem to be holding the money. I'll let you know when it goes through (i am slightly concerned that CTFS may not approve the transaction on their end)

For such a new bank....I hate the fact that they don't offer online statements in the form of PDF.
So has anyone successfully done a bank to bank transfer to and from ALLY?
Also anyone have any idea where their call centre is located?

What format are they offering in? Or can I just log on to find out? Just signed up the other day so doubt I could download any statements.
Wish ally would have shown up a few weeks earlier. Then I wouldn't have signed up with maxa. Oh well I play on moving money between accounts depending on how varied the rates are anyway

Well it's not like td is offering them either, so it's ok.

Why is that OK....because TD isn't offering them
I don't deal with TD.
Most banks offer this simple service...and by having this service, I don't have to scan the paper statements to my computer to save them in PDF....which is why I want this service. It was just a statement. Their site doesn't say they offer PDF's but maybe they will surprise us come statement time.
