Anyone heard of this?
I did a quick search and didn't see a thread about it.

Think they said 95 "cash airmiles" = $10
Can I transfer my existing reward miles into my AIR MILES Cash balance?
In order to enable this new program feature we need Collectors to set up separate balances.
You can change the way you allocate your reward miles at any time by adjusting your preference between your AIR MILES Cash balance and Dream balance.I have redeemed instantly at Jean Coutu before, why is it different now?
You can redeem instantly like you currently do until March.
From March onwards, you will redeem instantly with a new program feature called AIR MILES Cash.
AIR MILES Cash is a new type of instant redemption feature that you can now participate in, and it is a little different than what you may have been used at Jean Coutu to in the past. One big program enhancement is that you can now redeem instantly towards your everyday purchases from your AIR MILES Cash balance at other great participating Sponsor locations in your area. This means you have more choice when you are deciding how you want to instantly redeem your reward miles. Go here to learn more about instant redemption at Jean Coutu.

yes, I work at metro. this is starting MArch 8th but for your card to qualify you need to register your card on the airmiles.ca webpage. I think the maximum of money value is $100. Downfall your airmiles card expires every 5 years

Max money is $200 in 24 hours I believe. I changed mine over already, might as well spend at metro or home depot, instead of saving up points for absolutely nothing.

What is the difference between CASH and DREAM rewards?
It seems my older airmiles now fall under DREAM rewards. TIA.

All old miles are being converted to Dream rewards. If you opt in to the cash rewards program, future miles earned will be divided as you choose between cash & dream rewards.
Dream rewards are redeemed for flights, merchandise, gift cards, etc. Cash rewards are used as an on-the-spot discount at participating merchants. For example, when using your Air Miles card at Shell or Rona, you'll be able to redeem 95 miles for a $10 discount.
Currently, you can redeem 175 dream miles for a $20 gift card to many merchants. This works out to a better value (87.5 miles for $10) than cash rewards (95 miles for $10).

Thanks. So for the Shell car wash certificates, it's best to leave as Dream rewards? I don't have a lot anymore as I have been redeeming for car washes.
For those who need some rewards (not sure if quick), 15 airmiles upon completion of first survey. Not sure when those come in though.

Repost. There is a 12 page thread that is almost a month old in Personal Finance. I, too, had posted it in Shopping Discussion after searching and not finding anything but my thread got merged into the other thread. I still don't get why Air Miles are in Personal Finance. It is a loyalty rewards program and should be in Shopping.
