New Ashphalt Driveway Damage

My driveway was just graded and paved 5 weeks ago (new home). We stayed entirely off it for the first 6 days and have been cautious to be gentle on it since. 2 days over the weekend it was beautiful weather nice and warm, I wouldn't say hot though and I guess the driveway softened. I pulled the car into the driveway on Sunday and had to back out to turn around. I am aware of not turning your wheels on it at a stand still and trying to vary parking positions on it when it is new and we have followed this. After I backed out and parked on the road I noticed damage to the driveway







I am not sure what to do. Should I contact the builder ASAP and ask for it to be repaired? I don't think I caused unecessary stress to the driveway to cause the problem although they might not see it that way. Should I get this fixed ASAP for fear of it spreading or getting worse? If the builder won't do anything about it, my house is coming to it's 1 year inspection in October should I report this when I send in my repairs list?

Don't worry. There is no way to prevent that, if you torque your wheels at all on your new drive way you will get some of that... especially on a hot day. They will flatten out over the next few months, you won't even notice it.

When do they come for the second layer? If you get one, it's not usually until another few seasons have passed.

I am not sure. As far as I know that is it? I'll have to talk to the builder.
