New build: Suggestions on changes before it is too late?

Looking to build my new PC this week or next

Here's why I'm looking for the rest

Case: Thermaltake View 37
https://www.newegg.ca/black-thermaltake ... -_-Product

SSD: 860 Evo 1tb
https://www.newegg.ca/samsung-860-evo-s ... -_-Product

MOBO: Asus TUF Gaming

Cooling: Enermax Aquafusion 240

why are you splurging on water cooling? That cpu doesn't overclock worth a damn. You could easily save money by getting an air cooler like the D15 or D14 and use the savings towards something else.

It's not making a lot of sense to buy high end cooling for a chip that will only get to 4.1ghz and maybe 4.2ghz on a golden chip.

I don't actually intend on OCing at all.. I've never OCed and always use liquid cooling.

Should I just stick with the included fan?

I thought the 3800X doesn't come with one? What is your intended use for the chip? If it will be stressed enough, an Air cooler would be a better choice IMO.
Nothing to see here...keep looking.

A noctua D14 or D15 or another brand equivalent would likely be more quiet, but less color-splashy. It's up to you. What's the rush for getting the cooler? If it has one from AMD then use it and see if is noise-ok.

Your thermaltake case might be out of stock, it is when I just checked it.

Where's all the RGB? I only ask because the Thermaltake View 37 is a very 'showy' case. It's meant for people showing off custom loops and RGB.

You should consider a different case. Having that curved window is cool looking, but has some problems. It's all acrylic. Any tiny scratches will show. You can't move it and you have to be careful dusting it. When the acrylic window is not on, the case has a ton of flex. This means you need to be careful when installing components. Airflow is a bit of an issue compared to other modern cases, but your system doesn't really warrant the need for high airflow. I personally don't like that this case doesn't have a PSU shroud. That means all your cable mess is exposed for all to see at the bottom of the case.

On top of all that, this case is pricey. For the amount you spend on this, there are much better premium cases out there.

It's mostly just for the vertical GPU mount

I believe I saw a video from hardware canucks showing that the traditional mount has better cooling.

Do you guys have any suggestions for a 32" 2k monitor?

I'm looking at this Samsung https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/sa ... r=PDP_Reco

But I'm also intrigued by this 165hz Pixio monitor for $460

https://www.amazon.ca/Pixio-Hayabusa-Fr ... HJ1ZQ&th=1
I just ordered the Pixio. Never heard of that brand before but it seems to get decent reviews. FYI It's currently $420 with the $30 coupon which makes it a decent deal.
