just a random misfire. nothing to worry about, happens all the time.

you must have been doing something.

In 17 years of car ownership, I have never had a random misfire.

This happens to all makes, not just Nissan. I am an owner of a 2008 Nissan Altima (67,XXXkm) and a 2011 Nissan Rogue (20,XXXkm) and not one issue with either one and they share the same 2.5lt motor and CVT. Friends have bought 2010 & 2011 Hyundai's and they have been to the dealer for warranty work already, but the general public thinks they are the next Honda!! Im sure once he fix's this issue he will be trouble free for years to come.

i had an experience like this happen with a work vehicle. turned out to be bad gas and a clogged filter (due to metal filings in the gas), now mind you a co-worker that had driven the vehicle before me used up all the gas except for what i would consider the "reserve" bit once the light comes on to warn you. so the metal bits were in that and were sucked through the line.

it was a costly fix as they had to drain the lines, change the filter and do some sort of scrub inside the tank. but it gave me the exact same experience as the OP. when stopped the vehicle would idle rough and try and cut out... i was not out of gas and just getting vapors or what it could grab from the tank, there was still about 5 - 10 kms worth of fuel in it.

so it could have been the OP simply filled their tank with bad gas...

also update: last i heard from BBB is that dealership is not responding to BBB, so case is now marked unresolved and file closed. :(

I will not ever buy another nissan in my life. what a pos.

Maybe you just got a lemon. Nissan as a brand is actually pretty good. Their flagship car, the GTR, is about 95-110k, and is on par with 250k+ cars like the Aventador.

Are you kidding me? You bump up an 8 month old thread to talk about how good Nissan's are because of the GT-R?
