it could be the battery, humidity can affect it.

New Car won't start!
Its kind of ridiculous since I bought my accord coupe 08 around late Aug and today it won't start! I know its cold but i used to have a 14 yr old camry and it worked fine in the winter parked outside for the whole day. The accord engine has some sound but the engine won't turn on. I am on hold for roadside assistance which they will probably take 5 hrs to get here. Luckily this is happening at home and the car is in my garage! and NO i didn't leave my battery on overnight...i tried the lights and they work! It should be the electrical fuse but still its a new car!anyone having the same problem?

Hey you're right maybe a good word is a troll sound!! after 30 mins on the waiting line, they're going to send a battery booster/ tow truck over. if its battery im going to get them to give me a new one since its less than 24months old and there's probs. Hopefully the dealership is not too busy =( What a pain! I bought a new car to avoid this and its only the beginning of winter.......

are you saying the car is inside your garage? then it is not because of the weather.
must be something else than battery.
does it crank at all, maybe it is your alarm anti-thief module etc...

yeah the car is inside the garage and it does crank. I don't have any after mkt anti-thief modules in the vehicle. Maybe its the original honda one? I drove the car late last night into the garage, business as usual. I'll update what the problem is once the tow truck guy comes around and checks it out.

Could be a lot of things
1. battery could be defective, giving not enough power to the starter to start the engine
2. the starter could be bad
3. something wrong with the fuel delivery system
just because it's new doesn't mean it's not possible for it to have problems.

Just relax, even new cars have problems sometimes. Nothing is foolproof.
Whatever it is the dealership will get it taken care of._______________

I'm finding the quality of these "japaneses" cars assembled in the U S of ASS and Canada aren't all that great.
Made in Japan Honda and toyota FTW! I love my prelude, she starts in -25C weather like it would in 25C weather :P Just clocked 181K with nothing but regular oil changes. (did a tbelt change but soooo was not needed, that original belt could have taken another 100k easy)
