nt
Our old insurance policy with Unifund had Autoclub as part of the package which included free towing services (with conditions of course), emergency road services, among other perks.
I'm thinking of signing up with CAA. Are there any other recommendations? I know the nice thing about CAA is that it's good for travellers frequening the US alot as it gives good discounts on certain things (i.e. car rental, motel rental).

no
Best i've seen for towing is:
CIBC Auto Club at 250 KM - it beats almost all autoclubs out there for range...except OEM packages that come standard with many vehicles like Hondas...
CIBC Auto Club (from experience) also offers similar discounts at hotels/motels (sometimes even better than CAA discounts!).
They also provide trip services like maps that are personalized.

hi thx for the respone,
cibc autoclub has the following features:
price: 99.95
Associate membership (spouse or child age 16-25) $55.50
Towing: up to $200
8 calls per year for Emergency Roadside Services
Trip interruption services, travel planning services
and some misc features
---------------------------------------
CAA's details (3 tiered program):
CAA Basic | CAA Plus | CAA Plus RV
Price $63.60 $98.58 $130.38
Towing 10 km* 200 km 200 km
Trip Travel Insurance $100,000 $500,000 $500,000
Trip Accident Assistance** $300 $600 $600
Lockout Service $50 $100 $100
Specialized Towing Equipment yes yes yes
By the way, where did you see the "up to 250km towing coverage?" I couldn't find it on the website. The only thing I found was "up to $200 coverage". it seems like CAA is the better deal for me because of a lower cost. The farthest distance I've had my car towed was about 10km, I just need basic service. Hmm...I don't know
