Apparently the iPad 3 is set to be revealed sometime in March. Nothing that impressive imo, just a faster A6 processor, and a better display/resolution.

I think it should just be called the iPad 2S.

Any how, for those of you who are interested and will be buying it, considering any new Apple product lures millions of people, here you go with more info:

Update:

It’s widely expected that Apple will announce the next generation iPad, possibly named the iPad 3, sometime during the first week of March. Additional rumours started today with an exact date of Wednesday, March 7th.

Update 2: It will be coming with LTE and a 8" variant:

We know that the iPad 3 should get its debut on March 7th, but the Wall Street Journal is reporting that the tablet will be the first Apple product to be compatible with 4G LTE technology. While the report only names AT&T and Verizon as recipients of the high-speed tech, Canadian carriers like Rogers, Telus and Bell use the same frequencies as AT&T for their LTE devices. As a result, we can confidently say that if LTE comes to the U.S. it will also come to Canada.

WSJ is also reporting that, despite Steve Jobs’ claim that anything smaller than 10-inches is too small for a tablet, Apple is testing and considering releasing an 8-inch model with the same 1024×768 pixel resolution

Update 3: The new iPad will be out on March 16th starting at $499 USD. Pre orders start today however Apple.com/Apple.ca have not made the option to do so as they're making changes on the system.

The new iPad features an A5X Quad Core GPU with a dual Core CPU. It will have 4G LTE capability with the Big 3 here in Canada. New retina display sporting a resolution of 2048×1536. New 5MP camera with some nice features and 1080P video recording. It will be shipped with iOS 5.1.

Even though I have the Ipad1 and Ipad2, what I realized a couple of years back was that I was much better off buying Apple stock. Luckily, I did both. This time, won't be getting ipad3.

Apple is definitely running out of ideas to entice those who want to buy their product. Sure the fanbois will buy anything with their logo on it but it doesn't mean it is better.

I won't be surprised if Apple drops their PC line as the difference in specs of what there is vs what Apple offers is just too big.

Are you crazy? Apple could release a PentiumIII with a 3 1/2" floppy drive and as long as it had the Apple logo on it, people would spend thousands. I don't see them dropping any of their products considering they sell like crazy. Didn't you know? You pay a premium to look cool. It's worked for Apple and it's worked for Monster Beats. It's free money!!!

Well iPhone 4S was a pretty weak upgrade and it still sold millions.
I would be interested to see what happens with the iPad 2 pricing when the new one is announced.

Perhaps slump to the price of the original iPad and maybe the original iPads get phased out or heavily discounted?
