what's new
CVE new low $12.69

$16 -> $12.7 is -20%, wow..
They could've waited to buy NOW instead.. wonder if they can lower the BO price like many others did (WBA/RAD, Bass Pro/CAB)

CVE is the company that is making the acquisition...the fact their shares have dropped wouldn't change the terms of the deal.

Why do people buy CVE? It looks like they're losing money and are not profitable at current oil prices? Are you betting that oil prices will go way up?

They WERE a good/well-run company, before they went all-in and doubled up. I'm sure they can make money at current price, but still, they paid "fair value" at best... or "overpaid" at worst...definitely didn't "steal" like CNQ did

Nobody knows what will happen (in future), so... all CVE shareholders are screwed and frustrated (I agree, how can they double up/dilute equity without shareholder vote)

20% fill rate across the board through my accounts. Asked for 2,000 in all of them, and got 400 each.

Should be fun next week :)

Hydro One Limited ("Hydro One" or the "Company") (TSX:H) announced today that Hydro One, together with the Province of Ontario (the "Province"), have entered into an agreement with a syndicate of underwriters for the secondary offering by the Province (the "Offering"), on a bought deal (firm commitment offering) basis, of 120,000,000 common shares ("Common Shares") of Hydro One at a price of $23.25 per share, for total gross proceeds of $2.79 billion. In addition, the Province has granted the underwriters an over-allotment option, exercisable for a period of 30 days following closing, to purchase up to an additional 12,000,000 Common Shares at the same price per share which, if exercised in full, would increase the gross offering proceeds to approximately $3.07 billion. Hydro One will not receive any of the proceeds from the sale of Common Shares by the Province.
$23.25 is almost YTD 2017 low
I've put in 500
at least it's not a "dilution" per se

whew, glad I sold at $24 after their nonimpressive ER

Either Hydro shareholders are going to get screwed when all the infrastructure gets replaced or ratepayers are going to get jammed again. Betting on the latter.
