New Lenzr Photo Contest - A Counting Exercise

Are you one of those people that likes to count things? Lenzr has a new website that launched June 1st, and perhaps the most interesting challenge on the index is a photo contest called A Counting Exercise. It's for real! The challenge will fill up with bizarre counting exercises for people that like to count things. Capture the beauty of visual statistical distractions with your camera. The best submissions will have symmetrical shapes and or patterns and interesting things the viewer can count in the picture.


You can win a Sony Laptop if you can get your picture into the Top Ten and the Judges pick your submission as the best photo. Winner is announced August 1st. One tip would be to write a little something funny or meaningful about the image and 'The Count', and promote yourself too. This mathematical photo challenge theme and prize comes courtesy of some number savvy Toronto accountants that offer multiple accounting services, too many to count.


HOW The photo Contest works - Upload your photos for free. This contest has a ten day Voting Period that begins July 15th and ends July 25th. That when other members and visitors will be rating your photos. Then the Top Ten rated photos advance to the Lenzr Judges on July 25th. The winner is selected based on the eight judges' preferences. Judge's comments are often published in the Lenzr blog. The winner is announced on or before August 1st 2011. Contest open to all Canadians excluding Quebec -12 yrs or older.

Voting has officially begun for Lenzr's A Counting Exercise photo contest! This contest has received over 140 entries and I have a feeling we'll see more before voting closes on July 25. Yes, you can still enter the contest, and possibly even win if you've got a great photo and a formidable online network you can convince to vote for your work. You'll be up against pictures like this one, called 'Arches, Piers, Lightposts':



After the top ten user-ranked images are cemented on July 25, the Lenzr judges begin their deliberation. The winning photograph will be announced August 1, 2011.

I am in this one and several of the others. I am sooooo happy that Lenzr is finally judging the pictures from the top 10 now.
I would rather loose to a quality pic than to someone with a million fake accounts and proxies *sigh*
