New speed trap on Bayview extension just south of the Brickworks?

Is this a new speed trap? I have never saw the cops here before. It's going southbound on the Bayview extension just after the Brickworks where it starts to curve. I saw a couple of drivers pulled over. There were 2 unmarked police cars.

Limit is 70 but everyone is always doing around 90.

I highlighted the location on the map below.

That's an easy target for the cops. Everyone, including myself does 85+.

I have seen them around ... just not that often. Rob Ford told the cops to go out there and fill that quota

I've been driving Bayview for the last 15 years, most weekdays; I've seen radar set up during a 1 week period about 3-4 years ago. When it disappeared after the week or so, I thought it was part of training for the police because it was multiple police cars. Over the last few weeks I've avoided southbound in the mornings because of construction.
Take note: they've reduced the speed limit on Bayview, no longer 70 kmh! It's down to 60 kmh, I think due to the new regular light signal at the Brickworks.

I don't think it's new. I've seen it once before where they have been camping. I remember a group of 4 cars going down the hill going @ 80 and he didnt bother to catch us.

Man, 60 is unbelievably slow on that stretch of Bayview.

You got that right! I've been driving on the Bayview extension every day for work for the last 11 yrs. 60 is brutal! I normally see the speed traps at the top end going north right above Nesbitt Drive.

They always had one there for at least 15 years when I used to take that road everyday. It's just that you have never noticed it or seen someone pulled over.
