New Toro Snowblower won't start

Hi all,

I purchased a Toro 2450 Snowblower about 2 months ago and I finally have a chance to try it out ... it won't start!

Any ideas? It's brand new ...

I've mixed the engine oil with the gas, filled up the tax, adjusted the choke, primed the engine, but it just won't start...

I tried about 10 - 20 times!

I think I might have flooded the engine... after letting the snowblower sit a bit, the engine started after 5 or 6 more pulls.

Didn't you or someone else post this in one of the other SB threads? Its not cold enough right now to require priming (maybe?) or choking.

Guess just a lot of excited new SB owners wanting to try out their SB in the "warm" weather. Myself included...but I have no prime so no probs. :cheesygri

Yes, better now that never - I don't look forward to the snow blower not working in -20 degree weather :D

Does it sound like it wants to?

Silly as maybe, check that the spark plug is fully plugged in!

I pulled my brand new Ariens SB 5x before wondering what was going on. Spark plug wasn't fully seated. LOL
