New tv

Still have tube tv, finally looking to upgrade. Should I go with tv which can pick up high speed internet or cheaper/better to buy xbox 360 then regular high definition tv?

Best value alternative is to get a tv that is just a tv. For the add ons, buy them separately.

Size is still king. Get the biggest the wall can accommodate.
60" is the one to get as the current prices are still pretty good.
Like Will said, all other extra, gimmicks, are ok as long as no substantial premium is added to the price.

Buy a TV which is as large as possible. Stay away from those "Smart TVs" - those have integrated applications which support playing videos, picking up WiFi, etc.

However these are massively overpriced proprietary junk. You can pick up a WD TV box for $100 from Chinatown which will add those capabilities to ANY TV.

My living room a little small, 42" probably max out for me. I was looking to use high speed internet to watch tv get rid of satellite bill. I figure cheaper in long run. Most channels online anyway then things like Netflix can get most what I want with 1 less bill.

I would be the latter one. Xbox on big screen and high definition output. It cannot get any better.
