And look kid, you're not going to get far without a credit card so as to be able to reserve hotels in advance to take advantage of the rates awarded for booking well in advance.

Where to find a deal for two to take a bus from Toronto to New York and stay at a half decent place for a 4-day weekend for less than $500?
Any clues?

You can always try going to the bus station and go Greyhound. They'll accept cash there. As to rooming, try looking for hostels around NYC. They would accept cash or debit cards, I imagine.
