Is there an equivalent holding co. in China? I read online that Watsa was all out on India and not going for Chinese investments.

prob has room to get to 850 to 900 by year end...Book value per basic share at March 31, 2018 was $461.18USD ...*1.30(USDCAD) = $599.534 * (1.3 fair multiple per book) * 15% growth gives you $896.3033...18% to run from current price $755

Thanks. I was just wondering how the Chinese index is stuck at 3k from the peak at 6k. Maybe the financials and tech did it in.

Yeah, any private equity firm that's publicly listed can make so much out-sized returns.

I dont know if its possible to hit $896 by end of 2018, if it does, great for those that have it & sell

looking at the last 3-year charts, how do you see the behaviour of FFH given its past performance, could it pull back $100 from its current price allowing for a buy opportunity?

So sell at todays price, wait for the pull back & buy again & maybe sell each time it pops $50?

Last 3 years was bad performance due to hedges they had on market....When trump won they removed these ..This is why price has been moving up ...Prem has told us on the conference calls how we get to 15% growth this year,..

I'm still trying to see if the year over year gains are worthy enough to get into FFH going forward

from a 2005 article

FFH on morningstar

My AVG cost at around 590ish i think...I am going hold for long run with the track record if they can get me 15% a year I am happy...Just the div is not going grow in near future ...As Prem said they want to use that to buy back shares and companies they do not fully own
